Seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for an ongoing weekend inpatient call opportunity in North Carolina, starting June 2025 . This role involves Friday 5 PM - Monday 7 AM call coverage with a 30-60 minute response time .
Position Highlights: - Inpatient Setting - General GI cases, new patient access, and hospital consults at a Level 4 trauma center
- Required Procedures - Upper and lower GI endoscopy (biopsy, foreign body removal, bleeder fulguration, variceal injection), PEG placement, esophageal dilatation/manometry, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy (biopsy and polyp excision)
- Patient Volume - Approximately 10 patients per shift
- Support Staff - One RN and eight office staff
- Charting System - EPIC
- Flexible Scheduling - Includes July 3-4 and additional dates to be determined
- Licensing - Will wait for an active IMLC LOQ
Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days BLS and ACLS required
