Gastroenterology Physician

Locums - Henderson, Nevada, Gastroenterology Opening Clinical Role:

•  5/5/25 - 10/31/25
•  Hospital-focused coverage needed for the first 2 to 3 weeks of each month
•  Hospital and Emergency Department GI coverage including consults, upper and lower endoscopy, and ERCP
•  Potential for limited outpatient clinic time for post-procedure follow-ups. Initial need is due to a physician group terminating their call agreement, creating a coverage gap while long-term solutions are explored
•  Setting: Hospital + Emergency Department (with potential outpatient clinic for post-procedure follow-ups)
•  Duties: Inpatient consults, upper and lower endoscopy, ERCP; possible limited outpatient follow-ups
•  Days per month: 14-21 days
•  Required Procedures: Upper Endoscopy, Lower Endoscopy, ERCP (EUS also available)
•  EMR: Cerner
•  Support Staff: IR and Anesthesia available 24/7
•  Reason for Coverage: One of the physician groups that provided GI services terminated their call agreement, leaving a significant coverage gap
•  E.D.: Approx. 60 beds, sees 200-220 patients/day
•  GI's average 10-12 consults/day
•  Average 4-5 procedures/day
•  Procedures may include a mix of inpatient and outpatient to fill schedule
•  Full-service GI suites including ERCP and EUS
•  Board Certified Gastroenterology
•  State License - Required or IMLC
•  Residency Requirements/Fellowship - Required
•  ACLS, BLS, DEA Required
•  Malpractice - Clean Preferred
