Gastroenterology Physician

Coverage Needed:

• May 2025 - ongoing
  • 3-6 months
• Schedule: Hospital-focused coverage needed for the first 2 to 3 weeks of each month
• Shift Type: 24-hour call shifts
• Cover multiple sites

Clinical Details:

• Clinical Duties: Inpatient consults, upper and lower endoscopy, ERCP; potential for limited outpatient clinic time for post-procedure follow-ups
• Call: 24-hour on-call coverage
• EMR: CERNER
• Support Staff: Interventional Radiology and Anesthesia available 24/7
• 10-12 patients/day (5-6 of these consults will be scopes)
• 366 licensed beds (400+ total)
  • 60 beds, sees 200-220 patients/day
• Setting: Hospital + Emergency Department
• GI's average 10-12 consults/day
• Average 4-5 procedures/day
• Procedures may include a mix of inpatient and outpatient to fill schedule
• Full service GI suites including ERCP and EUS

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• NV state license OR IMLC
• Residency/Fellowship
• ACLS, BLS, DEA
• Malpractice - Clean Preferred
• Required Procedures: Upper endoscopy, lower endoscopy, ERCP (EUS also available)
