Job Summary
Join a dedicated team at a reputable healthcare facility in Ephrata, PA, specializing in Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology. This position offers an opportunity to engage in both inpatient and outpatient settings, working Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 5 PM. The role does not require clinic time, allowing for focused clinical duties including consults and rounding. As part of the team, you'll cover scheduled clinical hours plus call responsibilities, providing comprehensive patient care in a collaborative environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care for patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Conduct consults and daily rounding on assigned patients.
- Participate in call coverage, managing responsibilities from Friday PM to the following Friday PM.
- Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and management.
- Respond to after-hours phone consults as needed.
- Adhere to a call response time of 30 minutes during business hours.
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology.
- Fellowship training preferred.
- Requires active hospital privileges; temporary privileges available.
- Strong clinical skills with an ability to manage 11-13 patient encounters per shift.
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient care settings.
License and Certification Requirements
- Must have active physician license (active license is not required at the application stage).
- Board certification in Gastroenterology is required.
