Gastroenterology Locums Job in Colorado One to Two Weeks of Coverage Per Month May Start Assignment
Shift Schedule:
Monday-Friday - 7:30am-5pm - Onsite scoping with Emergency Room coverage
Monday-Friday - 5pm-7:30am - Night call
Saturday-Sunday - 7:30am-7:30am - 24-hour call
Specific Dates:
May 26 (7:30am) 27 (7:30am)
May 27-29 - 7:30am-5pm, 5pm-7:30am
May 30 7:30am-5pm only
October 20-27 (7:30am)
October 27- November 3 (7:30am)
November 3-10 (7:30am)
December 1-8 (7:30am)
Ongoing dates will begin January 2026 when schedules are released.
Assignment Details/Requirements:
Replacing previous locums to fill gaps in coverage
45 days for Emergency privileges, 60-90 days for full privileges
Prefer active Colorado license, but willing to license
Required Procedures: Scoping, EGD, colonoscopy, manometry, flex sigs and 24-hour PH probe, treatment of IBD ( preferred)
Advanced procedures are NOT required
Required Duties: Sign all orders and notes, complete all orders that the physicians requests including pathology orders (results may come in while provider is not on assignment and still must be completed in a timely manner.)
Support Staff: Mas, NP/PAs, RNs, Anesthesiologist
Volume: 12-16 scopes per day, 0.5 hours during Night Call, 4.5 hours during 24-Hour Weekend Call
Requirements: Board Certification, Fellowship
Facility Information: Trauma Level 3
