Facility in Alton, IL seeking GI Locums coverage Rates: $475-$550/hr Position Highlights
  • High-priority need due to recent turnover.
  • 49-bed community hospital with full GI lab setup and supportive clinical team.
  • Daily work includes procedures, clinic visits, and inpatient rounding.
  • Weekly schedule: 4 days in GI lab ( procedures/day), 1 clinic day ( patients/day).
  • In-house call coverage required during weekdays.
  • On average, 4 admissions during call shifts.
  • Procedures: routine colonoscopies, EGDs, scopes for bleeds, treatment of esophageal bleeds. ERCP experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Adult patients only (100%); no pediatric care required.
  • Supported by a full-time GI APP in clinic.
Requirements
    • MD or DO
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
    • Active Illinois State Medical License (required)
    • CSR and DEA licenses (required)
    • ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
    • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience

  • Must be available for a minimum of 2 weeks (10 days) per month
