Gastroenterology Locums - Ephrata - PA
Coverage Need
- Start date: ASAP
- End date: 12/31/2025
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 5 PM
- Includes inpatient, outpatient, OR, rounding, and consults (no clinic time)
- Call coverage: Beeper call from Friday PM to Friday PM (7-day blocks)
- Call response: During business hours with 30-minute response time
- Daily rate + on-call rate required
Position Details
- Practice settings: Inpatient, outpatient
- Admissions required: No (1 - 4/day)
- Rounding: Assigned patients (11-13 per shift)
- Beds in department: 175
- EMR: Epic
- Stroke-certified facility
- Temporary privileges available: Yes
- Nearest airports: Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Baltimore
Submissions Requirements
- Board certified in Gastroenterology
- Licensed in PA
- ACLS and BLS
- Clean malpractice and background - Strongly preferred
Skill Requirements
- Upper GI endoscopy (biopsy, foreign body removal, bleeder cautery, varices injection)
- PEG tube placement
- Esophageal dilation and manometry (including interpretation)
- Small bowel biopsy
- Lower GI endoscopy (flexible/rigid sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision)
- Preferred but not required :
- ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic)
- Liver biopsy
- Sengstaken/Blakemore tube management
- EUS not required
