Purpose: Texas Athletics Marketing department is looking for hands-on, passion-focused student workers for the 2025-26 school year. Each person to join our team in this event-based position will be a contributing member of the department's external affairs staff, with an emphasis on executing all of the marketing and promotional efforts that bring gameday to life for our fans, sponsors, and student-athletes. These students will collaborate directly with marketing staff to run the gameday efforts in and around our venues from pregame through post-game at home Texas Athletics events.
Responsibilities - Collaborate with Texas Athletics, Learfield - Longhorn Sports Properties, Texas Cheer & Pom, and Hook'Em to execute in-game elements and promotions at sporting events
- Exemplify Texas Hospitality while interacting with fans pre-game, in-game, and post-game
- Distribute promotional materials and giveaway items at events as needed
- Develop crowd engagement ideas
- May serve as in-arena hosts, music operators, or additional niche roles at select sporting events as needed
- Assist in other duties as needed

Comply with all laws, policies, rules and regulations set forth by the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System, The University of Texas at Austin, NCAA, Conference, or other governing body, including state and federal laws. Annually obtain prior written approval and report all outside activities and outside income. Report knowledge of, or reasonable cause to believe, violation(s) of state or federal laws, policies, rules, or regulations of the University, Conference, or NCAA to IA ARMCS or IA HR. Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete and accurate information when requested to do so by Texas Athletics and/or the NCAA and do not influence others in any way during an investigation. Required Qualifications: - Must be a student an an institution of higher education, registered for at least six credit hours
- Demonstrate strong interest and passion for Texas Athletics and the execution of marketing strategy
- Effective team player willing to follow or lead as necessary
- Willing to communicate with staff, other students, and visitors (strong communication skills a must)
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications: - Sport Management or Business/Communication-related major
- Previous experience with a sports organization
- Some experience in Marketing
Salary Range: - $8/hour + based in relevant experience
Working Conditions: - May work around standard office conditions
- Use of manual dexterity
- Climbing of stairs
- Climbing of ladders
- Some heavy lifting may be required
Work Shift: - Fall 2025 - Spring 2026 (rehire eligible based on performance)
- Work will be performed in-person, on campus
- Exact schedule is primarily based around home-ticketed sport schedules and is determined on a monthly basis. Weekly hours vary, and number of Student Assistants needed varies per event.
