This is a full-time position within the Maine Mariners Marketing Department. The role of Game Day Operations & Promotion Coordinator is a crucial part of the Maine Mariners Marketing and Game Day staff, which consists of an energetic team of individuals. The Game Day Operations & Promotion Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Marketing to create game day scripts, plan and organize game day promotions, collaborate on sponsorship assets, and take ownership of all game day entertainment. The Game Day Operations & Promotion Coordinator will work a typical Monday through Friday work schedule, as well as game days and some community events. The Game Day Operations & Promotion Coordinator will help to shape and grow the Maine Mariners game day experiences, marketing, graphic design and community events. Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the Director of Marketing to assist in planning our theme night schedule for the season
• Communicate with external vendors to book game-day entertainment
• Plan, review, and schedule all of the in-game scripts that will run game presentation
• Review and help to design all of the digital graphics that will be displayed on our in-arena video board
• Work with Union Staff on directing game days up in our booth to make sure that our games are called confidently and accurately
• Report to the Director of Marketing to create and execute engaging game day entertainment including in game promotions, on ice games, giveaways, and post-game events
• Work closely with the Director of Marketing and the Marketing Team to create digital assets to use in-game and on social media
• Organize, source, and edit all music using our game-day music software that will play at each home game
• Work closely with our Union Staff to create a smooth and exciting Game Day experience for our fans
• Assist pre-game as necessary

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
• Knowledge of Canva, Adobe, and Google Applications
• Be fun, confident and outgoing
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Strong communication skills. Able to communicate and problem solve with co-workers
• Assist with the set-up, execution and break-down of events/promotions
• Flexible availability - Weekdays during the day, weekends, evenings, and holidays, 36 Mariners home games and any post-season games
• Ability to easily stand and move up and down stairs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift objects such as promotional items or merchandise.
