GA TECH MS Intune Technical Lead

Short Description:
Under general supervision, responsible for the operational support and maintenance for network systems. Proactively monitors networks to provide stable, dependable services across multiple platforms. Frequently reports to a Network Operations Supervisor.

Complete Description:
We are seeking a skilled Technical Lead Contractor to join our team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing expert consultation to a team of managers, helpdesk support staff, infrastructure and applications staff

• Serving as a Windows 11 Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a focus on policy settings for InTune.

• Leading and implementing the technical execution of one complex program of projects including:
oTransition from AD/GPO managed Windows 10 endpoints to INTUNES managed Windows 11 endpoints
oConfiguration of our own INTUNES rules/policies/etc. (platform already in place, managed by central IT for the Institute)
Laptop users and their use-cases
Desktop kiosks / lectern PCs and their use-cases
oEngineering a solution for automating the migration of Desktop/Documents to OneDrive.
oAutomating file server drive mapping, printer mapping, and browser bookmark imports.

• Conducting training to IT admins who are just getting started learning Windows 11 and Intunes

• Work Schedule: Hybrid: Onsite: They will need to perform work onsite, however the contractor will definitely have some remote work available to them, but it is possible that some weeks will need to be onsite 5 days per week. They should expect to be onsite more days than remote.

MUST-HAVES:

• Proven experience in technical leadership and enterprise project implementation.

• Windows 11 (Advanced)

• Microsoft InTune (Advanced)

• Microsoft Group Policy (Advanced)

• Security policy experience (Advanced)

• Strong documentation and training skills.

NICE-TO-HAVES:

• Certified: Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate

• Implementing IT solutions in a College/University environment

• Automating the migration of desktop/documents to OneDrive

• Application layering (VDI, RDS, published applications)

• Microsoft licensing experience

• Microsoft update channel experience (current vs semi-annual)

• Microsoft LAPS

• Lab environment deployments
