Position Overview:
Ferguson's House of Furniture is seeking a dynamic and experienced Store/Sales Manager to oversee daily operations, drive sales, and ensure a positive customer experience. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic leader with a passion for furniture, retail management, and customer satisfaction. This individual will be responsible for managing a team of sales associates, maintaining store operations, and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership: Drive store sales through effective merchandising, customer engagement, and sales strategies. Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs.
- Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of sales associates. Conduct regular training, performance reviews, and foster a positive work environment.
- Customer Service Excellence: Provide exceptional service to all customers, ensuring their needs are met and they have a memorable shopping experience.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control, product ordering, and restocking to ensure that the store remains well-stocked and organized.
- Store Operations: Ensure that daily store operations run smoothly, including store opening/closing, cash handling, and adherence to company policies.
- Visual Merchandising: Maintain attractive and effective displays that highlight key products and promotions to maximize sales.
- Sales Reporting: Monitor sales data, prepare reports, and analyze trends to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally to maintain customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail or furniture sales management, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing customer needs.
- Strong knowledge of furniture products and trends is a plus.
- Comfortable using point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail software.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
