Global VC firm seeks an Assistant Controller with a heavy background doing in-house fund accounting. This role will jointly oversee both fund accounting and management company accounting functions and manage an overall team of 6 handling the fund accounting for 200+ funds. Responsibilities include financial reporting and accounting, cash management, fund administration, fund operations, investor relations and reporting.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Sr Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller coming from an established VC or PE firm with in-house fund accounting experience. This role will be working onsite 3 days per week and offers excellent work life balance with flexible hours.
Requirements:
- 8+ years fund accounting industry experience working at an established VC or PE firm.
- Must have experience working in a regulatory environment, including reporting, compliance filings, and a deep understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related field of study.
- Strong Excel skills required (Pivot Tables, V & X-Lookups, Sum Ifs, etc.).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Prior Big 4 audit experience with asset management clients is a plus.
