Our client is seeking a Fund Accountant to join their San Francisco-based team where they will report directly to the CFO and Controller. This is a high-impact role offering broad exposure across fund operations, performance reporting, and compliance within an investment firm.
Responsibilities:
- Perform quarterly and annual closing procedures for all funds
- Execute capital calls, distributions, and maintain accurate fund accounting and legal records
- Prepare capital account statements, IRR calculations, and performance incentive figures
- Maintain internal fund performance reporting systems and support the year-end audit process
- Liaise with fund administrator to resolve accounting issues and ensure reporting accuracy
- Assist with private valuations and fund/SPV formations
- Support annual and regulatory compliance filings, tax compliance efforts, and special projects related to firm operations
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in private equity or similar investment fund accounting
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a high level of professional integrity
- Self-starter with a proactive approach and a strong sense of ownership
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex issues
- Functional proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Investran is a plus
Salary:
$90,000 - $110,000 + bonus
