Functional Safety Validation Engineer - Whitley, Coventry (Hybrid) - Up to £33.88/hr - Inside IR35

What You Will Do:
• Develop and execute test cases based on system requirements using gherkin (BDD) within X-Ray, a subset of JIRA.
• Perform manual testing on HiL Rigs (DSPACE, vector, or NI) and prepare detailed test reports.
• Identify and document software defects, creating defect tickets for any issues encountered.
• Ensure compliance with ISO26262 standards, particularly Parts 4, 5, and 6, throughout the verification process.
• Maintain consistency and traceability between tests and requirements, generating reports and storing them under version control.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a seamless delivery of safety-related verification activities.
What You Will Bring:
• A solid understanding of ISO26262 standards, particularly Part 6 and Parts 4 & 5.
• Strong problem-solving skills to tackle complex and challenging issues.
• Experience in writing and executing test cases for software validation.
• A degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Technical proficiency in HiL Rigs and testing tools such as DSPACE, vector, or NI.
