Join our team as a Full-Time Store Management Trainee and master the essential skills needed to run a successful store. This hands-on training role will involve overseeing daily store operations, maximizing the overall performance of the store, and nurturing an effective team environment.

Position Type: Full-Time
Estimated Hours: 45 hours per week
Starting Wage: $30.25 per hour
Year 1 Earning Potential: Up to $108,500 (including salary and bonuses where applicable). Estimate varies by location.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Store Management Trainee, you will:
  • Supervise daily operations and ensure the highest customer service standards.
  • Communicate and embody the company's core values, fostering teamwork and camaraderie.
  • Resolve customer concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Maintain store signage, product quality, and freshness.
  • Assist in hiring for the store by reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates.
  • Prepare and manage weekly schedules to ensure optimal staffing.
  • Establish clear job responsibilities and performance expectations for team members.
  • Conduct store meetings and identify training opportunities for staff development.
  • Evaluate staff performance and make recommendations for advancement.
  • Manage payroll and loss prevention budgets effectively.
  • Conduct audits and monitor community competition to maintain market position.
  • Provide product suggestions and maintain appropriate merchandise levels.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by identifying and addressing hazards.
  • Conduct inventory counts and follow company guidelines for reconciliations.
  • Adhere to company policies while maintaining confidentiality of all documents.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires:
  • Ability to lift merchandise weighing up to 45 pounds.
  • Regularly standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the store.
  • Performing duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
Qualifications:
To qualify, you must:
  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Exhibit outstanding customer service skills.
  • Possess skills to build trust and effective communication with your team.
  • Interpret and apply company policies effectively.
  • Manage employee performance and follow management principles.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with cash register operations.
  • Safely operate equipment, including manual hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
  • Maintain organization and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meet local regulations for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.
Education and Experience:
We prefer candidates with:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a progressive retail experience.
  • Management experience in a retail setting is advantageous.
Travel:
Expect to train at multiple locations and exhibit flexibility as needed.
