As a member of the Produce team, you will be essential to our operations. Your role will involve receiving and preparing produce, maintaining attractive displays, and ensuring our customers receive fresh, high-quality products in line with Whole Foods Market standards. You will handle deliveries, stock shelves, and engage with customers to create exceptional shopping experiences. All team members are expected to represent our company positively by delivering courteous and efficient service at all times.
Key Responsibilities: - Ensure freshness and appeal of displays by keeping cases and shelves clean, well-stocked, and organized.
- Assist in organizing and showcasing seasonal and high-volume items.
- Monitor product spoilage, communicating effectively with buyers and leadership.
- Complete necessary worksheets for spoilage, sampling, temperatures, and cleaning.
- Participate in regular inventory counts.
- Arrive on time, well-groomed, and ready to perform scheduled shifts; attend training and meetings as required.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by understanding and addressing customer needs promptly.
- Maximize sales by implementing effective merchandising, stocking, and product handling procedures.
- Adhere to established health and safety regulations, including sanitation and safe work practices.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment while ensuring equipment meets cleanliness and safety standards.
- Perform assigned opening, mid, and closing duties, ensuring accuracy of pricing and signage.
- Report any safety hazards or violations immediately.
- Complete other duties as assigned by store leadership.

Experience: - No prior retail experience required.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: - Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday.
- Requires hand use for single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
- Involves bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
- Exposure to approved cleaning chemicals.
- Working conditions may expose you to temperatures up to 90 F.
- Must be able to work in wet and dry environments.
- Flexible scheduling required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to use various tools and equipment safely, including knives and electric pallet jacks.
- May require using ladders.

The pay range for this role is $16.00-$25.40 per hour based on experience, and Whole Foods Market offers comprehensive benefits. New team members may be eligible for a pay increase after their initial 90-day period based on performance.
