The Role

We are on the lookout for a talented Full Stack Software Engineer to contribute to the development of our core user experience. This is an initial contract position with a strong potential for transition to a full-time role based on your performance and project achievements. Upon successful contract conversion to full-time employee (FTE), you will be awarded ground-floor equity compensation. Please note that the conversion opportunity is contingent on a performance evaluation.

Location: San Francisco preferred (relocation to NYC possible later in 2025)

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop responsive web interfaces that facilitate both text and voice interactions, including graph visualizations and fast search interfaces.
  • Transform data produced by our relevance engine into user-friendly layouts and visualizations.
  • Implement integrated feedback mechanisms to enhance our learning-to-rank system.
  • Strengthen and optimize our real-time audio streaming API for optimal performance.
  • Construct user-specific storage solutions and manage account capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the team on architecture decisions and contribute to our technical roadmap.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in full stack development with a focus on React single-page applications (SPAs).
  • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Extensive experience with PostgreSQL and Pub/Sub technologies (e.g., Redis).
  • Experience in implementing robust authentication and authorization systems.
  • A history of developing and maintaining RESTful APIs on cloud services (GCP preferred).
  • Familiarity with real-time audio processing is a plus.
  • A proven track record of building production-quality applications.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with voice processing and audio streaming technologies.
  • Understanding of legislative or regulatory data structures.
  • Background in UI/UX design and development.
  • Experience working with embedded AI agents in applications.
  • Familiarity with typesense or elasticsearch.
  • Proficiency in Firebase authentication and storage.
