Senior Applications Developer (Python) for a
CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier
Financial/Insurance clients in
NY, NY (Hybrid).
Summary: We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Software Developer with experience to design, develop, and maintain web applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both front-end and back-end technologies, a passion for coding, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using modern technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code for both front-end and back-end components.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and user experience.
- Implement responsive design principles to ensure applications are mobile-friendly.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
Required Skills:
- BA in computer science
- 5-7 years in full stack application development
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Strong experience with back-end technologies: Node.js and Python
- Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of security best practices in web development.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Experience working within an Agile framework
- Experience building machine learning modules
