Brio Digital is working with a leading health tech consultancy looking for an experienced Python Developer with expertise in Public Sector delivery.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining Python-based applications and services.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Using TypeScript, React, and Node.js in development.
- Implementing data processing pipelines using PySpark for efficient data analysis.
- Integrating with AWS services and utilizing cloud infrastructure for scalable and reliable applications.
- Conducting code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure code quality and performance.
- Writing clean, efficient, and reusable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- Continuously improving software development processes and tools.
- Keeping up to date with industry trends and technologies in Python development and AWS services.
Minimum Requirements:
- Extensive experience in Python development, including core libraries and frameworks.
- Experience with public sector projects, ideally NHS.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, S3, EC2, and Redshift.
- Hands-on experience with PySpark for big data processing.
- Familiarity with database technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
