Position: Full-Stack Software Engineer (Python, AWS, TypeScript, React)

Duration: Until February 2026

Location: up to 2x/week in Leeds.

Brio Digital is working with a leading health tech consultancy looking for an experienced Python Developer with expertise in Public Sector delivery.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Designing, developing, and maintaining Python-based applications and services.
  2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  3. Using TypeScript, React, and Node.js in development.
  4. Implementing data processing pipelines using PySpark for efficient data analysis.
  5. Integrating with AWS services and utilizing cloud infrastructure for scalable and reliable applications.
  6. Conducting code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure code quality and performance.
  7. Writing clean, efficient, and reusable code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
  8. Continuously improving software development processes and tools.
  9. Keeping up to date with industry trends and technologies in Python development and AWS services.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in Python development, including core libraries and frameworks.
  • Experience with public sector projects, ideally NHS.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, S3, EC2, and Redshift.
  • Hands-on experience with PySpark for big data processing.
  • Familiarity with database technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
  • Understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
