Primary Skills: Java(Expert), JavaScript (Expert), SQL Queries (Intermediate), HTML (Expert), Data Structure & Algorithms (Expert) Contract Type: W2 Duration: 12 Months with possible extension Location: Bellevue, WA Pay Range: $50.00 - $57.00 Per Hour Job Summary: We are seeking a Software Development Engineer to join our Transactional Notifications team, focusing on the development, monitoring, and enhancement of retail Notification applications that directly impact our customers. The successful candidate will be involved in troubleshooting, debugging, and implementing fixes for internally developed code, alongside working on Amazon corporate and divisional software projects. This role requires in-office presence in Bellevue, WA, adherence to a strict Monday to Friday schedule without the possibility of remote work or flex hours, aiming for a significant overhaul of Amazon's customer notification systems. Key Responsibilities: Developing and enhancing monitoring solutions for applications. Troubleshooting, debugging, and fixing issues within JAVA, HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT codes. Executing SQL queries to improve system operations and metrics gathering. Automation of support processes and thorough documentation of systems. Collaborating with development teams on Amazon's software projects to enhance current software functionalities. Must-Have Skills: Advanced proficiency in JAVA, HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT. Strong experience with SQL queries. Experience or familiarity with retail or customer experience environments, particularly in frontend notifications. Industry Experience: Previous experience in a retail or customer-focused digital environment would be highly beneficial, especially with direct exposure to Transactional Notification Systems or similar platforms.
