Position: Full Stack AI Engineer

Company: Agentic Studios, Inc

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

About Us:

Imagine a world where the next generation of entrepreneurs isn't born in Silicon Valley, but in communities where creativity thrives, but opportunity has yet to flourish. We aim to bring this vision to life by unlocking the untapped inventive potential of heartland communities, quadrupling the number of entrepreneurs in the U.S. By nurturing Entrepreneurs-in-Development (EiDs) through early exposure to innovation and hands-on business creation focused on health, wellness, and learning, we're unleashing a wave of innovation that will fuel unprecedented growth. Advances in AI now make high-growth venture creation more accessible than ever, and our micro startup studio model is the key to realizing this vision. The founding team brings together a unique blend of proven expertise, spanning serial entrepreneurship, startup investing, venture studios, public education, and economic development within heartland communities.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a versatile, full-time AI engineer who combines hacker speed with an innovator's creativity. You'll work on the full stack-front-end, back-end, and everything in between-rapidly building and iterating prototypes into production-ready products, and supporting spin-outs from Agentic Studios. Most of our products leverage AI, so experience with AI in its many forms is a big plus.

We are guided by a set of core values that shape all aspects of our work. We believe in a deep sense of interconnectedness, mastering our minds to overcome challenges, demonstrating courage with empathy, and hustling with discipline and joy. These values aren't just abstract ideas-they define how we interact, make decisions, and support each other. As a member of our founding team, you will embody these principles, helping to create a culture where bold ideas are embraced, challenges are met with resilience, and excellence is pursued with integrity. Your success and ours, will be measured by how well we live these values every day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and maintain full-stack features across front-end and back-end systems for early-stage AI products.
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate on user-facing features based on feedback, usage data, and product goals.
  • Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineers to define, build, and ship new experiments and features.
  • Integrate LLMs and other AI tools into core user experiences-propose, test, and refine AI-powered features.
  • Stay current with advancements in LLMs and the broader AI ecosystem, and translate those into product opportunities.
  • Launch and support new products or spinouts, focusing on speed, reliability, and user delight.
  • Analyze performance metrics and user behavior to inform product decisions and drive improvements.
  • Build and maintain foundational infrastructure for growth and experimentation (e.g., notifications, analytics, attribution).
  • Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and contribute to improving engineering best practices and team velocity.
  • Contribute to a culture of experimentation, curiosity, and shared ownership across the studio.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in full-stack development (e.g., React, Next.js, Node.js, Python, TypeScript, or similar frameworks/languages).
  • Experience deploying and maintaining web applications in production.
  • Familiarity with integrating and prompting LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere).
  • Ability to make pragmatic technical decisions, including tradeoffs between AI models or architectures.
  • Experience designing and running A/B tests using experimentation platforms.
  • Solid grasp of data analysis and using metrics to drive product iteration.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with high ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated ability to ship working products quickly, with attention to user experience and performance.
  • Strong version control (Git) and collaborative development practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Relocation: Willingness to relocate to Albuquerque, NM.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive Compensation: We offer a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package.
  • Equity: Stake in a high-impact venture, aligning your and the company's success.
  • Relocation Support: Full coverage of relocation expenses to Albuquerque, NM.
  • Early-Stage Opportunity: Join early and influence the direction and success of our ventures.
  • Work Environment: A lean, agile, and mission-driven environment where your contributions will directly impact the lives of young entrepreneurs and the company's success.
