A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FUEL STATION ATTENDANT
As a Fuel Station Attendant, you will be the first point of contact for our fuel station customers. Whether they are filling up with gas or you are selling our snacks, being patient and assisting with customers' needs will be critical to your success. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Provide high-quality customer service in accordance with our Company's customer service standards and policies and procedures while also exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions.
• Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service Operate computerized cash register and credit card scanner inside fuel station booth, ringing and totaling all merchandise.
• Receive payment for customer purchases.
• Maintain cash drawer, including being accountable for all cash, coupons, checks, and receipts in the drawer.
• Receive gas delivery from our fuel distributor/tanker truck.
• Perform safety inspection of tanks and pumps once per day, checking gaskets, locks, etc.
• Receive and check in delivered merchandise and place in appropriate storage area.
• Change out Point of Sales materials (pump toppers, snap lock signs etc., as needed/directed).
• Perform Daily Operations Audits, as applicable.
• Perform Daily Inventory Counts, as applicable.
• Replenish displays and shelves as needed.
• Fill outside towel holders and replenish or refresh window washer fluid.
• Service, clean and supply public restrooms, refill towel and soap dispensers.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with cleaning agents.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Continued)
• Gather and empty trash; clean & scrub trash cans and replace liners.
• Clean building floor by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming around equipment.
• Clean fuel or oil spills from parking area using absorbent material.
• Adheres to all federal, state and local laws and regulations and company policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Adhere to uniform and grooming policy as defined within company policy.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
The following describes the general qualifications and physical, sensory and mental abilities normally associated with performing the essential job functions of this position:
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to use the cash register
• Basic math skills to calculate prices and make change
• Ability to be subject to extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wind, rain)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to understand and follow instructions, and ability to read, retain and comprehend guidelines, policies and procedures applicable to the position
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently as well as within a large team
• Self-motivated and driven to increase knowledge of Albertsons Safeway products and share that knowledge with our customers
• Ability to provide regular and predictable attendance. (Employees may be scheduled to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, and schedules may vary on a weekly basis)
• Ability to comply with workplace conduct standards
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The following attempts to communicate the traditional physical demands associated with this position:
Seldom: 1-2 hours, Occasional: 3-4 hours, Frequent: 5-6 hours, Continuous: 7+ hours (Based on an 8 hour workday.)

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Working conditions consist of a temperature-controlled store environment. Occasional exposure to outdoor environment with varying temperatures
