Role Overview

As a Frontend Engineer, you'll shape the experience of digital Payroll and HR products used by thousands of UK businesses. Working with JavaScript frameworks, Microsoft .NET, and Azure, you'll lead teams to create secure, scalable services with real-world impact. We're seeking a Frontend Engineer with leadership and hands-on development skills to drive architecture and delivery of our next-generation systems. You'll mentor onshore and offshore teams, working on greenfield services using JavaScript frameworks, .NET, and Azure. Passion for cloud development, secure APIs, and rapid delivery with AI-enhanced DevOps is essential.

Work full-time on a hybrid basis, with 1-2 days weekly in our Swinton (Manchester) office. We want a driven self-starter who can lead a team and stay hands-on daily.

Skills & experience

  • Lead development of new services in Azure, collaborating with UK product & engineering teams.
  • Guide and mentor offshore teams, advocating Agile/Scrum via Azure DevOps.
  • Create excellent User Experiences with React, Node, or Vue.js for web and mobile.
  • Promote engineering excellence through documentation, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Embrace AI-driven development and cutting-edge workflows to accelerate delivering customer value.

Essential Skills & Experience

Languages: React, Node, Vue, C

Stack: .NET / Azure

Databases: MS SQL / IBM DB2 / MySQL

Tools: VS-Code, Visual Studio 2022 (Professional)

Platforms: Azure

AI: Co-Pilot

Bonus Skills

  • Understanding of scalability optimization.
