POSITION SUMMARY: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Lead Laundry Services Associate - Full Time. In this role, the successful candidate Assists with the Laundry Services program in maintaining the facility s environment in a sanitary, attractive and orderly condition. Assists with the staff and daily operations of the Laundry Services department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Assists with staff work, schedules, and assignments to ensure proper coverage. Assists in maintaining inventory control and effective supply ordering. Assists with daily poundage requirements. Assists in the maintenance of equipment. Assists in scheduling and conducting all in-services. Abides by all WUH policiesprocedures and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participates in activities contributing to growth and development of self and colleagues. Supports co-workers in accomplishment of day to day activities and tasks necessary for meeting facility needs. Attends and participates in staff meetings and in-services. Assists with Quality Improvement procedures.
  • Responds to assistant supervisor s directions in a timely manner and works to improve andor maintain Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) scores.
  • Reports issues to management that may cause problems andor refers these issues utilizing the escalation policy. Documents issues legibly. Completes required reports as requested by the assistant supervisor of laundry services. Utilizes appropriate communication radiophone in all interactions.
  • Performs a variety of cleaning duties necessary to the orderly functioning of the department and consistently maintains a neat, uncluttered and orderly environment. Inspects physical condition of the facility and reports unsafe conditions. Ensures equipment is functioning properly and reports problems to the appropriate personnel.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify you must have a High School or GED. 1 - 2 years Laundry in aHealthcare environment. Ability to read, write and speak English. Good organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1-2 years Lead in a laundryHealthcare environment.
