EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent required. College degree in Hospitality Management preferred, experience can be substituted for education. Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with clients, members, guests, and co-workers.

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years resort experience or a Hospitality degree preferred. Front Office Supervision experience is a plus.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Working knowledge of services provided by all Front Office positions, to include Bell Service, PBX, Reservations, Concierge and Front Desk.

JOB SUMMARY: Greet and register arriving guests. Anticipate their needs and wants. Supervise Front Desk staff.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Must be able to drive a motor vehicle. Be able to assist guests with luggage, escort them to the Front Desk, and if needed escort them to their room.

DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

1. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends, holidays and split shifts.

2. Arrive to work on time, consistently.

3. Upon entering the property, arrive in proper uniform, crisp, clean and in good repair.

4. Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style; management has final approval.

5. Attend all required training, safety courses; attend office and departmental meetings.

6. Report any safety hazards, follow up that hazard has been corrected, and assist with providing a safe work environment.

7. Maximize the potential profit of the front office functions.

8. Act as Manger on Duty in the absence of the Front Office Manager and the Director of Lodging.

9. Implement a pre-shift meeting with staff to review daily house counts and activities going on throughout the resort. Review any peak nights and potential challenging upcoming dates.

10. Responding to individual guests' needs as they occur.

11. Maintaining effective communication of room status and future availability.

12. Retain a complete and up to date log book to communicate any challenges to the following shift as well as management.

13. Inducting, orienting and training of all front desk agents as needed, for new procedures, policies, etc.

14. Assess and review job performance of subordinates and assist in the maintenance of personnel records of the assigned employees as described by the employee manual.

15. Attending and conduction departmental level meetings for the front desk, concierge, bellstand and PBX,

16. Prepare reports and attend meetings with the management to anticipate the business expected.

17. Utilize time efficiently enabling self to be working with the area demanding the most attention.

18. Maintain consistency with the level of service provided through the front desk, bellstand, concierge and PBX departments. Develop a level of professionalism adherent to 5 star and 5 diamond standards.

19. Perform and follow up on any other duties as assigned by the Front Office Manager or Lodging Director.
