INTRODUCTION
The Guest Services Supervisor's responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations, and providing information about the property and its amenities. The supervisor is also responsible for obtaining or receiving tickets and merchandise, totaling bills, accepting payments, and making changes for customers in the camp store. The supervisor also coordinates staffing for the front desk and provides support and back-up when needed.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

- Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service by providing a guest-friendly environment. This includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid property and area knowledge, and all other components of guest service.
- Perform all check-in and check-out tasks.
- Manage online and phone reservations.
- Take messages and redirect calls to appropriate parties
- Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
- Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
- Provide information about our property, available accommodations, amenities and rates
- Respond to guest complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Operate office equipment, such as scanners, printers, etc
- Communicate with our housekeeping staff to ensure all accommodations are clean, tidy, and fully furnished to accommodate guests' needs
- Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees
- Operate computer reservation system
- Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
- Perform various clerical tasks as needed (sorting mail, paper filing, etc
- Provide local information on restaurants, special sites, activities, etc
- Effectively operate POS system to correctly assign payments for tickets and merchandise, including accepting payments and providing accurate change.
- Calculate sales discount to determine the price.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance
WHAT YOU BRING
- High school diploma or GED Equivalent
- Previous hospitality and/or retail experience
- Previous experience in customer service
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, read and write. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, use office equipment, including, but not limited to, a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment, and multi-line telephone, and reach with hands and arms. The employee occasionally requires the ability to lift office products and supplies to 20 pounds.
The hospitality environment is fast-paced, and at times, you may be required to cover or assist with tasks/job functions outside of the job you were hired for. We require each of our team members to have an All-Hands-On-Deck mindset. This means you may be tasked with other functions and are expected to complete those tasks with the same level of enthusiasm and dedication as you would with your normal job duties.
