The community you'll be caring for: 301 MEMORIAL MEDICAL PKWY, Daytona Beach, 32117

The role you'll contribute:

Performs Surgical Services clerical functions, which may include scheduling, order entry, filing, report printing, sorting and distribution. Greets patients at the surgical reception desk, notifies registration and Pre-op staff of patient's arrival. Explains surgical patient flow to family members and answers question pertaining to the status of the surgical patient. Coordinates with staff as needed regarding patient status and delays. Answers telephones, transfers calls and relays messages as needed.

Responsibility to adhere to the Florida Hospital Corporate compliance plan, to the rules and regulations of all local, state, and Federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.

  • Greets patients at the surgical reception desk, explaining surgical preparation procedures in ASU, Holding, Surgery and Recovery (PACU).
  • Coordinates with staff as needed regarding patient status, delays and any scheduling or throughput issues.
  • Answers telephones, transfers calls and relays messages as needed.
  • Relays messages or information as needed.
