Sleep Better Southwest is a dental sleep medicine practice dedicated to helping patients achieve better sleep and overall health through customized oral appliance therapy. Our team is passionate about providing high-quality care in a warm, supportive, and professional environment that has been part of the Prescott Area community for more than 11 years. We are looking for a friendly and organized Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our medical practice.

Job Summary

The Front Desk Receptionist plays a critical role in delivering exceptional patient experiences by managing front desk operations, scheduling appointments, handling patient communications, and ensuring a smooth patient flow. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a warm, professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and check in patients with a friendly and professional attitude
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and route calls as needed
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
  • Collect and verify insurance information and patient documentation
  • Handle patient check-out, including collecting payments and scheduling follow-ups
  • Maintain an organized and tidy reception area
  • Communicate with referring physicians and coordinate necessary documentation
  • Assist in maintaining patient records and ensuring HIPAA compliance
  • Provide support to clinical and administrative staff as needed
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • Previous experience in a dental, medical, or sleep medicine office preferred
  • Proficiency with medical office software (Will be trained on dental sleep software)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Friendly, compassionate, and patient-focused demeanor
  • Professional appearance and punctuality
  • Knowledge of medical insurance terminology and billing is a plus.
