Who We Are: At BYRD, we draw inspiration from Californian culture and the surfing lifestyle of the '50s and '60s. There's nothing better than sun, salt and surf. Which also happen to be the three key ingredients for healthy hair and skin. That's why we use them in our products. We come up with all of our product ideas here at the BYRD's Nest in sunny Newport Beach, California. This is where we eat, sleep, surf and stay slick. Inspired by the gentleman surfer, we don't let our lifestyle get in the way; we let it pave the way.
What You Will Do: The BYRD's Nest will own our front desk reception and client relations responsibilities along with providing creative/marketing support to build awareness. Reporting to our Shop Manager, and working closely with the CEO/Founder. We are a small, very collaborative environment and you will work cross-functionally with all teams including our Marketing Lead and The Byrd's Nest employees.
Responsibilities below (but not limited to):
- Perform front desk administrative and data entry tasks, respond to customer inquiries, back up the barbering team with scheduling and appointment information
- Manage and schedule appointments via phone and email with new and existing clientele
- Marketing support for brand social media outlets and Yelp page
- Assist with re-stocking shop inventory and supplies
- Support Byrdie Salon in the back of the barbershop
- Maintain outstanding customer service skills and client relations
- Always be one-step ahead, anticipating needs and staying organized to get ahead of problems
