Park Avenue Center provides evidence-based, gender-specific drug and alcohol treatment in south Minneapolis, Minnesota. First established in 1979, Park Avenue Center is a community-based program that proudly serves Minnesota's less fortunate individuals in beautiful settings. Using evidence-based best practices, we have maintained a reputation for the highest quality of services at extremely low rates. Clients we serve typically struggle with multiple barriers including mental illness, homelessness, financial problems, legal issues, and an overall lack of emotional support. Utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, our staff includes Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors, Licensed Psychologists, Social Workers and a Registered Nurse. Our robust Mental Health Team allows us to help clients address their various needs. We take pride in the quality of our services and the magnificent environment we have created. I.JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, the Receptionist provides general customer service support for all of the programs by answering phones, responding to clients entering the building, and paging staff members as required.

II.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Answers incoming phone calls transferring calls as needed and paging staff as needed
  1. Records messages for clients and posts them on the client board
  1. Light clerical work such as data entry, filing, and making of folders
  1. Greets and directs clients and visitors
  1. Finds appropriate staff member to respond to client needs
  1. Regularly make coffee and clean coffee area between client breaks
  1. Performs other duties as assigned
III.QUALIFICATIONS
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  1. Must have the ability to acquire and maintain First Aid and CPR Certification
  1. Must possess good verbal skills and be capable of presenting positive professional image.
  1. Must be able to maintain positive public relations with referring agencies and business community at large.
  1. At the time of hiring, must be free of problematic substance use for at least the one year immediately preceding and sign a statement attesting to that fact.

Additional information

Full-time day shifts, M-F. Potential availability on evenings or weekends is desirable but not required.

This position starts out at a wage of $18.00-$20.00 an hour, based on experience.
