Front Desk Receptionist / Admin - Washington, D.C.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Pay Rate: 22 - 26.50/hr. depending on experience (just for you to know, Jake - this includes the H&W up to 22 + the 4.93/hr.)
Position type: temp-to-perm

Role Description:
The House Recording Studio is seeking a Studio Assistant to provide front-line/reception - customer service, administrative support, and coordination for congressional media services. This position requires professionalism, organizational expertise, and strong interpersonal skills to ensure Members of Congress, and their staff are provided with seamless support in a fast-paced studio environment.
The Studio Assistant is responsible for greeting and assisting walk-in clients and Members of Congress, handling communications, coordinating scheduling logistics, and ensuring accurate documentation and billing. This individual must thrive in a multitasking environment and be committed to delivering a courteous and efficient experience to every visitor.

Responsibilities:
Daily Operations

• Greet and assist walk-in clients, including Members of Congress and their staff, with professionalism and courtesy.

• Answer incoming calls, respond to general inquiries, and route or take messages as appropriate.

• Track and forward technical and administrative inquiries to the appropriate departments.

• Maintain phone coverage during standard operating hours to ensure reliable customer service.

• Manage routine administrative responsibilities, including correspondence and logistical coordination.

• Schedule congressional media appointments for radio and television services.

• Create and manage work orders in the studio billing system.
Administrative Coordination

• Ensure scheduling systems are updated with current appointments.

• Maintain accurate records for correspondence and service requests.

• Collaborate with internal teams to route and resolve issues efficiently.

• Uphold high standards of professionalism when interacting with congressional offices.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years customer service, reception, and/or administrative experience in an office setting.

• Immaculate customer service skills.

• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multitasking, and time-sensitive environment.

• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Working knowledge of administrative processes and procedures.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.

• MS office (word, excel, outlook, ppt) is highly preferred.
