Front Desk Customer Service Representative

Job Summary

Village Home Stores (Downtown Geneseo) is looking for an applicant with great people skills to be the first impression for our Geneseo showroom visitors and customers phoning the store. This applicant will also assist our Lighting Sales team with tasks in our award-winning lighting showroom. They will also help check in and out showroom samples for our home project customers. Great hours in a fun and exciting industry. No Nights, Short Saturdays, No Sundays. Applicants should be very detail oriented and have excellent telephone and communication skills. You are a key member of the team and represent our members on client support calls. This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, energetic, and enjoy helping people. Ideally you are driven to provide the highest level of customer service and satisfaction and able to effectively manage a variety of situations on a day-to-day basis. Schedule TBD within these hours: M-F 8:30-5pm select Saturdays 8:30-12pm

Responsibilities: Duties will include but are not limited to

Greet customers and industry professionals in store and over the phone/online, answering questions, engaging customers with merchandise, and providing exceptional customer service

Assist in confirming and welcoming customers to appointments with our team

Help in tracking and receiving product for some of our departments

Pull bulb packages , under cabinet lighting, and stock inventory, and switches and outlets for sold jobs

Assist with labeling and organizing incoming window treatment jobs

Update light fixture and window treatment tags in the showroom and create tags for new products

Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions

Qualifications:

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Detail-oriented with strong data entry skills
