Job Summary:

As a Front Desk Clerk, you will service our guests by greeting them, handling guest transactions, answering the telephone, and operating front office equipment. You'll support the Front Office Supervisor to manage all front office operations and exceed guest satisfaction standards.

Specific Duties:

  1. Maximize revenue goals through upselling and downselling based on occupancy and competitor rates.
  2. Coordinate daily arrivals and departures, including special requests.
  3. Follow hotel cash handling procedures.
  4. Maintain a neat and organized front office and communicate daily activities to relevant departments.
  5. Gather guest feedback to ensure high satisfaction levels and resolve issues with management's aid.
  6. Respond to and direct emergency and security issues to management immediately.
  7. Report health, safety, or hazard issues to the supervisor.
  8. Maintain health and safety standards from both employee and guest perspectives.
  9. Ensure safety and well-being of guests and co-workers by understanding crisis and emergency procedures.
  10. Oversee all front desk operations, including shift reports, cash drops, and guest services.
  11. Attend meetings and training as requested.
  12. Handle proper key control.
  13. Wear the uniform and nametag as required.
  14. Comply with hotel and brand standards.
  15. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  16. Collaborate with the sales team to capitalize on revenue opportunities.
  17. Have a good understanding of the PMS system.
  18. Be willing to work any shift and fill in for other associates when needed.
  19. Continue working until the next shift arrives.
  20. Send a daily end-of-shift activity report to the Supervisor and General Manager.

Qualifications:
  • Education/Experience: Customer service experience or hotel front desk experience preferred.
  • Language Skills: Excellent interpersonal/communication and customer service skills. Proficiency in English for understanding business communications and customer interactions.
