Freshman Head Football Coach

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to lead our Freshman Football program for the upcoming season. This seasonal position offers an opportunity to mentor young athletes, develop their skills, and foster a love for the game of football. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of football fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and a passion for coaching.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement practice plans that focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Conduct daily practices, ensuring a safe and positive environment for all student-athletes.
- Teach football fundamentals, including offensive and defensive strategies, techniques, and game rules.
- Organize and supervise all aspects of the freshman football program, including games, practices, and team meetings.
- Collaborate with other coaching staff and school administration to promote a cohesive athletic program.
- Monitor the academic performance and personal development of student-athletes, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and the school community regarding team activities and player progress.
- Uphold the values and mission of Charlotte High School and promote a culture of respect, discipline, and hard work.
- Assist in the recruitment and retention of student-athletes for the football program.

Requirements
- Previous coaching experience at the high school level or equivalent experience in youth sports is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of football rules, strategies, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes to reach their full potential.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to the start of the season).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, during the football season.
- A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
- Background check and adherence to school policies and regulations are required.
