Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Freight Claims Analyst to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a critical thinker with strong investigative and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You'll be responsible for reviewing, investigating, and resolving claims, focusing on accuracy, compliance, and customer service. The right candidate will bring exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously while working cross-functionally with vendors, clients, and legal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze incoming claims for completeness and accuracy
- Conduct thorough investigations by gathering documentation, reviewing reports, and communicating with relevant parties
- Classify claims (e.g., transportation damage, spoilage) and determine root cause
- Process claims in compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Communicate regularly with vendors and clients, providing updates and support
- Maintain accurate documentation and organized claim records
- Prepare reports on claim trends, activity, and outcomes for leadership review
- Partner with legal teams when preparing for litigation or arbitration
- Stay current with insurance regulations and internal policies; recommend improvements to minimize future claims
- Support additional duties and team needs as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience in freight claims processing is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Analytical mindset with strong math and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
