Job Responsibilities:
- Prospect, secure, and onboard new customers by identifying freight opportunities that align with Warren's capabilities.
- Build and manage strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers, becoming a trusted advisor in their supply chain strategies.
- Negotiate competitive freight rates with customers, balancing profitability with market competitiveness.
- Attract, qualify, and retain a reliable network of carriers and logistics providers to meet customer needs.
- Negotiate rates and establish shipment agreements, ensuring all terms and conditions are accurately recorded.
- Work closely with internal operations teams to communicate load statuses, address potential issues, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Monitor shipments from origin to delivery, proactively resolving any service disruptions or delays.
- Manage a book of business exceeding $1 million annually, with a focus on growing volume and profitability.
- Service customer accounts by consistently soliciting additional freight opportunities and providing world-class customer service.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, agreements, and shipment activities.
- Provide regular updates to management on sales activities, account performance, and market trends.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in freight brokerage, transportation sales, or logistics is preferred.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and a desire to exceed targets.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both customers and carriers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics management systems.
