Role Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our team as a Franchise Audit Manager - Finance & Compliance. In this role, you will focus on auditing the financial operations and compliance of our franchisees, ensuring adherence to franchise agreements, royalty obligations, and accounting standards. As the franchisor, your work will be vital in maintaining financial integrity and operational consistency across our network.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute regular audits of franchise operations-including financial records, operational procedures, and customer service quality-to ensure adherence to company standards.
- Evaluate franchisee adherence to contractual obligations, with particular emphasis on royalty calculations, fee remittances, and other financial terms stipulated in the agreements.
- Create and refine audit procedures and evaluation criteria that align with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Interpret audit results, identify discrepancies or areas of concern, and prepare detailed reports that include actionable recommendations for franchisees to improve financial accuracy and compliance.
- Work closely with legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure that all audits are compliant with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
- Ensure that all audit records, findings, and communications are accurately documented and stored in accordance with company policies and compliance standards.
- Coordinate between third-party audit firms and franchise owners to facilitate the completion of audits, ensuring timely responses, information sharing, and resolution of any audit-related issues.
- Conduct periodic on-site visits to franchise locations to verify financial records and operational practices.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.
Experience/Knowledge/Qualifications Required
- Proven experience in auditing, compliance, or operational analysis, preferably within the franchise industry.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively prepare reports and interact with franchisees.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with auditing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness and ability to travel to various franchise locations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
