What will you do in this role? This is an exciting opportunity to take on a high-growth, hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate closely with the founding team to continuously rethink and redesign Sela's backend services as we scale to handle millions of calls daily. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in the hiring process and serve as a mentor and tech lead for junior engineers.

Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and building scalable backend infrastructure for real-time communication.
- Creating and maintaining a public API for Sela's partners.
- Developing integrations with various 3rd party software like CRMs, Dialers, calendars, and custom APIs.
- Collaborating with fellow backend engineers to enhance our real-time communication capabilities.
- Leading and mentoring a team of junior engineers to foster their growth.
- Working alongside the DevOps team to optimize deployment and scaling strategies.
- Collaborating with frontend engineers to support the user-facing web application.
- Working with machine learning engineers to enhance our proprietary AI features.
Qualifications: - 8-10 years of experience in backend system design.
- Proven track record in building high QPS public APIs.
- Experience working in growth-stage startups (Seed+ or Series A+).
- Expertise in either Python or Go programming languages.
- Outstanding technical communication skills.
