Founding Machine Learning Engineer - Hypergrowth Voice AI Startup

Location: Redwood City, CA (5 days/week)

The company seeks engineers who are eager to work 5 days/week in the office in a hardworking, highly collaborative, and fast-paced environment.

The company's product involves voice AI, conversational AI, and developer tools.

The founding team is comprised of experts from leading companies including Meta and Google.

The company has achieved very strong revenues within 12 months of founding, and revenues are rapidly growing.

Currently, the company has 7 employees and seeks to hire 5 engineers as soon as possible, expecting to expand to 25 employees within the next year.

The company will offer a salary of up to $300k, plus equity (roughly 1% of the company) which could be very lucrative.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Creating datasets and benchmark models, and defining evaluation metrics for various tasks by the voice agent platform.
2. Training and fine-tuning various audio & LLM models for accuracy, latency, and domain-specific knowledge.
3. Collaborating with other engineers to integrate, monitor, and optimize models in production.
4. Setting up and managing a scalable human evaluation pipeline.
5. Keeping up to date on cutting-edge AI advancements and experimenting with new models.
6. Creating scalable machine learning infrastructure & deployment within the system.

Qualifications:

1. Expertise in machine learning.
2. Experience in improving, integrating, and deploying models in production systems.
3. Proficient in Python, Pytorch, and other ML frameworks and tools.
4. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, quickly learning and adapting to new challenges.
5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:

1. A Master's degree or equivalent practical experience in AI/ML.
2. Startup experience.
3. Experience with LLMs.
4. Experience with audio modeling.
