Summary:
An early-stage investment of ours is looking to make their first IC hire in data science. Reporting to one of the co-founders (who is an industry veteran in DS), you will play a key role in shipping a category-defining product in cybersecurity (and author a new taxonomy and labels for the space as well).
Going deep into raw data from large-scale enterprise systems (customers are F500's), you will generate insights from user behavior and create risk models, while leveraging AI, to develop products that incorporate these signals in a GenAI behavioral system.
In a nutshell, our successful candidate will have proven expertise working with raw data and building data products from 0->1, ideally in an early-stage startup environment.
Qualifications:
- MS / PhD with 4+ years industry experience in quantitative/statistical analysis of large-scale problems leading data science efforts, ideally for a marketplace or consumer company
- Expertise in statistics, behavioral analysis, causal inference, predictive modeling, and/or anomaly detection strongly desired
- Proficient coding skills in Python and SQL expected
