Description

The Kirtland Foundation provides Kirtland Community College and its students with the resources to provide affordable and innovative education opportunities to support every Kirtland student in succeeding in college, in their career and in their community.

Reporting to the Director of the Kirtland Foundation, the Foundation Assistant handles the administrative operations of the Kirtland Foundation. This position requires a dynamic individual with strong interpersonal skills; computer skills; written and verbal communications as well as time management and organizational skills.
Duties
  • Provide administrative support to the Kirtland Foundation Board of Directors and Foundation Director.
  • Prepare and distribute Foundation communications on multiple platforms.
  • Help manage the Kirtland Foundation donor database to ensure proper recordmaintenance and policy/procedure enforcement.
  • Manage the scholarship program: database, applications, and stewardship.
  • Must be able to work with donors, students, faculty, and staff as well as members of the communities.
  • Maintain confidential files of donors and scholarship recipients.
  • Provide support in fundraising efforts.
  • Help establish and grow an alumni relations program.
  • Provides other administrative support as needed.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • One to three years of administrative office experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, project management skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing on multiple platforms.
  • Analytical ability to identify and resolve a variety of issues or challenges in an effective and timely manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Willingness to learn new skills in a constantly changing environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate/Bachelor degree in Business Administration or a Related-Field.
  • Fund Development experience.
  • Experience with MailChimp, alumni relations, scholarship and donor databases.

SUPERVISION - Works in coordination with the Foundation Director.

ATTENDANCE - Hours may vary based on the needs of the Foundation, some nights and weekends may be necessary.

WORKING CONDITIONS - Conditions are those of a typical office environment, requiring a professional image, demeanor, and reliability. There may be occasional travel to other locations for meetings, conferences and training.
