About Carolina Boxer Rescue Carolina Boxer Rescue (CBR) is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming boxers in need throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Our foster homes play a critical role in saving these dogs by providing them with love, care, and stability while they await their forever families.
Role & Responsibilities As a foster home volunteer, you will:
- Provide a safe, loving, and stable environment for a rescued boxer.
- Offer basic training, socialization, and reinforcement of good behavior.
- Ensure the dog receives necessary veterinary care (CBR covers vet costs).
- Transport the foster dog to vet appointments, meet-and-greets, and adoption events.
- Communicate regularly with CBR and provide updates on the dog's progress.
- Help screen potential adopters by providing insights into the dog's personality and needs.
Requirements - Must be at least 21 years old.
- Have a safe and secure home environment.
- Be willing to provide food, toys, and basic supplies (CBR can assist if needed).
- Have reliable transportation for vet visits and events.
- Ability to commit to fostering for at least 2-4 weeks (or longer, if possible).
- Experience with dogs is a plus, but not required-CBR offers support and guidance.
