Core Government Services is searching for a Networking expert to join our team at the Fort Bragg Mission Training Center. Applicants must have an active U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
Essential Functions: - Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques
- Installs and configures network hardware and software. Provides network troubleshooting and support
- Provides technical support and training to end-users
- Administers network security
- Backs up file server data/disks
- Provides minor to moderately complex server maintenance
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
- Participates in special projects as required
Requirements: - Active Security Clearance
- Professional Certification in one or more specific technologies may be required to meet DoD IAT II Certification. (CompTIA SEC+, CASP, etc.)
- Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network troubleshooting and support
- Knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software
- Knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications
- Must have excellent verbal communication skills for interfacing with military and civilian personnel
- Must possess a valid REAL ID, State Driver's License and maintain Fort Bragg driving privileges
Education: - Associate degree or 4 years network / system administration experience.
Experience: - AA: 1-3 years
- VMWare: 1 year (Preferred)
- Linux: 1 year (Preferred)
Working Conditions: inside office on Government site
Required Travel: Minimal
