Forklift Operator / Warehouse Worker Location: Durham, NC
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Pay Rate: $18.20/hour
Position Overview: We are seeking a dependable and experienced Forklift Operator / Warehouse Worker to support daily warehouse operations. This position requires operating various types of powered industrial equipment and assisting with material movement throughout the facility. Ideal candidates will be safety-conscious, team-oriented, and capable of performing physical warehouse duties with consistency and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities: -
Operate forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks

Move materials, parts, and finished goods within the warehouse

Maintain accurate records of inventory movement as needed

Perform basic warehouse tasks following clearly defined procedures and safety guidelines

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Collaborate with team leads and supervisors to ensure productivity goals are met
Qualifications: -
High School Diploma or equivalent required
-
1+ year warehouse or relevant experience required
-
Ability to obtain and maintain necessary forklift/MHE certifications
-
Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written)

Basic math and computer skills

Experience working in a metrics-driven environment

Ability to follow SOPs and safety procedures
Physical Requirements & Work Environment: -
Regularly required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, lift, climb, and twist

Frequent use of hands for handling, typing, and operating machinery

Must be able to lift/move 50+ lbs

Exposure to moving machinery, vibrations, and varying weather conditions

- Load from trucks using forklift
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift
- Unload product into/from trucks using forklift/pallet jack
- Complete inhouse forklift training class and the forklift evaluation before operating a forklift
- Unload trucks using forklift and other equipment
- Unload materials using a forklift
- Operate forklift truck using safe operating procedures
- Perform forklift preventative maintenance checks and attend forklift safety meetings
- Completed before operating a forklift
- Operate forklift to load/unload route trucks and inter-branch trailers
- Utilize a forklift to load and unload storage containers from delivery trucks
- Operate a sit-down/propane powered forklift or pallet jack
- Assist with ensuring a safe and clean working environment, inside and out, for assigned storage center location
- Utilizing a forklift to load and unload storage containers
- Operate a sit-down or stand-up forklift
- Unload products using forklift trucks and other material handling equipment
- Maintain and operate transport equipment (forklift, lift trucks, tow trucks)
- Operate forklift using forklift safety procedures and perform daily shift forklift checks
- Maintain inventory accuracy by ensuring proper counts and documentation
- Unload products from trailers using forklift trucks and other material handling equipment
