We are hiring a Forklift Drivers in Miami. Someone successful in this role will have prior warehouse experience, preferably in perishables, be OSHA forklift certified, and bilingual English/ Spanish.

Job Description:

The Forklift Driver is responsible for filling customer orders and delivering them to the delivery platform in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, and productivity. In this position the person is responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Obtains copy of working schedule or shipping order and transports material or products to and from designated areas in the facility.
  • Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks or containers.
  • Move inventory and materials across facilities.
  • Process inventory for delivery.
  • Sort, organize and store inventory in the proper location.
  • Scan delivered items and ensure quality.
  • Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors.
  • Stack and organize large bulk items.
  • Remove inventory from trucks or shipping and delivery to proper location.
  • Update logs and documentation for inventory processing.
  • Move materials from facilities to workstations, pick-up locations, or other locations.
  • Operate heavy machinery like forklifts to move or store inventory.
  • Ensure workspace is free of debris and remove safety hazards from aisles.
  • Work as an active team member to complete team goals.
  • Prepare documentation and inventory for audits.

Administrative, Safety, Security:
  • Maintain equipment and report malfunctions.
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
  • Assist other warehouse duties as needed.

Qualification requirements:
  • High School Diploma required; higher education preferred.
  • Bilingual English/ Spanish required.
  • Be able to come in on weekends, come in early or stay later based on business needs.
  • OSHA Forklift cert preferred.
  • Must be able to drive forklift in tight spaces, required.
  • Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required.
  • High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment.
  • Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records.
  • Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner.
  • May be required to use RF scanner gun.

Physical demands and abilities:
  • Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck / forklift.
  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Having a good sense of balance.
  • Having good eye-hand-foot coordination.
  • Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season.

This is an ongoing temporary position. The hourly for the role is $16.50 an hour, paid every Friday.
