Field Engineer/(General) Foremen
DIRECT HIRE ROLE
Day to Day duties:
Your tasks will include your use of independent judgment and discretion to perform the following:
- Successfully field measure items for detailing prior to fabrication.
- Successfully motivate erection teams.
- Interacting and communicating directly with the erection foreman on a continual basis assisting with coordination of material, laydown, logistics, ect.
- Set up and re-schedule deliveries working directly with the Operations Manager.
- Attend weekly and daily meetings with the erector.
- Proactively review drawings to help identify potential problems / conflicts.
- Participate in pre-planning including sequencing, schedules, delivery timing, site coordination and joins in on pre-erection meetings.
- Gather daily reports, ensure accuracy and completeness, place in Procore.
- Understanding contract scope of work and proactively identify extra work. Alert the PM team ahead of beginning any extra work. Clearly communicate directions to the site foreman how to document identified extra work.
- Proactively look ahead at concrete progress, equipment access, etc. and report back to the PM team.
- Push erectors to complete remaining punchlist items prior to demobilization.
- Monitor jobsite safety to ensure all OSHA, General Contractor, and CSF requirements and expectations are not only being met but exceeded.
- Maintain an OSHA 30 certification. Aggressively seek out additional safety training that could help with erection activities.
- Maintain client relationships
- Traveling to multiple jobsite locations throughout DC, MD, and Northern VA.

- Ability to read a tape measure.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Understand the need for urgency.
- Methodical and disciplined.
- Ability to clearly and successfully analyze, solve problems and make decisions under a high-pressure situation.
