What you will be doing. As a Digital Forensic Analyst, you will conduct investigations into computer security incidents and perform forensic exploitation of captured digital media to extract actionable intelligence. Your work will support the identification of network vulnerabilities, enable threat attribution, and contribute to proactive defense and mitigation strategies across critical mission environments.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform forensic exploitation of captured digital media, including hard drives, removable media, and memory, to uncover evidence of malicious activity.
- Analyze artifacts associated with cyber intrusions, malware, and adversary tactics.
- Support the development of intelligence products that inform threat detection and cyber defense operations.
Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- OR Associate's degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- Preferred degrees include Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field
Relevant experience must include one or more of the following areas:
- Design and development of computer or information systems
- Software programming
- Computer/network security
- Vulnerability analysis and penetration testing
- Computer forensics
- Systems engineering
- Completion of formal military training in a related area-such as the Joint Cyber Analysis Course (JCAC)-will also be considered as qualifying experience.
Clearance Requirement: - Must possess an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance to be considered for this role.
