Job Summary The Varsity Assistant Coach supports the head coach in managing the high school varsity team. They play a key role in developing athletes' skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive and competitive environment. This position requires a combination of teaching, mentoring, and administrative duties to ensure the success of the team both on and off the field.
Responsibilities:
• Assist the head coach in planning and conducting effective practices and game strategies.
• Provide individual and group instruction to athletes to develop skills and techniques specific to the sport.
• Monitor athletes' academic and personal development, ensuring compliance with school and athletic program policies.
• Promote sportsmanship, leadership, and teamwork among student-athletes.
• Collaborate with the head coach to manage game-day logistics, including equipment, schedules, and communication with players and staff.
• Maintain open communication with parents, school administration, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes during practices, games, and travel.
• Support recruitment efforts for future athletes and assist with program growth and development.

- Other (Certificates/Training (4): Fundamentals of Coaching, Concussion in Sports, Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training, Heat Acclimatization Course)
