This is an opening at the food truck located permanently in the beer garden at Islamorada Brewery and Distillery. We are hiring for hard-working and dedicated team players, looking to help us evolve and expand our operations.

Responsibilities
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, battering and frying, or preparing dips/ sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow kitchen managers/lead line cooks instructions
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with fellow line cooks, expos and customers, including thorough communication between kitchen management, bar management, FOH, BOH
Skills
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line cook/ fry cook
- Basic understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry's best practices
- Read and follow recipes, understanding units of measurement and simple mathematics
- Minimum 1 year cooking experience preferred but not required
Requirements
- English language fluency
- Reliable transportation and an understanding of traffic. You are expected to arrive on time no matter how bad traffic is.
- Flexible schedule and ability to adapt to changes in direction and growth.
- Must be able to come for an in-person interview.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to easily go up and down steps.
- Must be able to move/walk quickly for up to 10 hours per shift.
