We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Station Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining food quality, and ensuring a clean and organized food station. This role is essential in creating a positive dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain food stations, ensuring all items are stocked and presented attractively.
- Serve food and beverages to customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Monitor food quality and freshness, discarding any items that do not meet standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food station and surrounding areas.
- Assist with food preparation and replenishment as needed.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly service-oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Avion Hospitality standards as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working (per brand standards).
- Always comply with Avion Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Comply with certification requirements as applicable to position to include Food Handlers Safety etc.
- Always maintain friendly and warm demeanor.
- Have thorough working knowledge of menus and the preparation required to produce the product according to
- Avion Hospitality standards.
- Ensure the completion of necessary food and station preparations prior to open of the Restaurant/Dining Outlet Cafe and Room Service to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently during operating hours.
- Maintain the 'Clean as You Go' policy. Be responsible for maintaining the sanitation and cleaning schedules of the kitchen. Keep all storage areas neat orderly and clean.
- Ensure that all employees always practice safe work habits to avoid possible injury to self or other employees.
- Abide by all hotel policies and house rules.
- Be familiar with the hotel's emergency procedures.
- Attend meetings as required by management.
- Perform any other duties as requested by management.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a food service or customer service role is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
